Dear Sisters and Brothers, October 2025
Our upcoming meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday, October 21st at 5PM in the Balcony Lounge. Food and beverages will be served. Our club coordinator and Executive Board member Dave Hochman will be on hand to provide us with details of new developments within our industry. Questions are welcomed.
Sunday, October 26th, 2025, the Electrical Welfare Club will be hosting our 61st Annual Award & Scholarship Breakfast. This year’s honoree will be Robert Ball, Director of Investments for the Joint Industry Board. We will also be honoring Brother Kevin Leibowitz for this year’s 2025 Club Service Award. I am looking forward to seeing all of you there. All members in good standing of the Electrical Welfare Club are entitled to two tickets to attend. (See attached flyer).
The Electrical Welfare Club is also having our annual Raffle Fundraiser. Each raffle is $10 and has a 3 digit number. The winning numbers will coincide with the evening NYS Win 3 Lottery for the month of November. There are 30 chances to win $100. Please help support our club by purchasing and helping to sell these raffles. See raffle Chairman Paul Newfeld at our October meeting. Anyone who has any raffle tickets must return them to Paul at the October 21st meeting.
As you know Election Day is right around the corner, Tuesday November 4th, 2025. Although it is not a Presidential election year, it is still a very important election for our upcoming mayor of New York City. Local 3 has endorsed Andrew Cuomo, former Governor of NYS to be our next Mayor, please support our choice.
And lastly; a reminder that our annual Hanukkah party will be held Sunday, December 14th @ the JIB. Please see attached flyer for info.
