President’s Letter April 2021

Greeting Sisters and Brothers,

The next regular meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday, April 27th, 2021 at 7 PM via Zoom. Joining our meeting this month will be New York State Assemblymember Daniel Rosenthal. Assemblymember Rosenthal represents the 27th Assembly district, which includes Electchester. He is the new Chairperson of the Task Force on Food, Farm and Nutrition and also sits on six other committees including Labor. Our Club Coordinator, Former Assistant Business Manager, Elliot Hecht will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions will be welcomed.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Passover. I also hope everyone is doing everything to stay safe and healthy including getting the Covid-19 vaccinations. I want to thank those Electrical Welfare Club members that helped support Elizabeth Crowley’s campaign for Queens Borough President.

I had the opportunity to attend the Critical Thinking Seminar Recap and Preview on Zoom. It was very informative, and I look forward to the new Seminar this year entitled ‘The Science and Economics of Covid”. Dr. Partha Banerjee as always, is very prepared and does an excellent job keeping everyone engaged.

We are working on new ideas for Club apparel and the best way for you to purchase and receive your items. We hope to present information in a next month. The Electrical Welfare Club’s 2021 Scholarship Applications are now available, please contact Corresponding Secretary Michelle
Sirotic for more information.

Please make sure your Club dues and Cemetery dues (if you have them) are paid and up to date.
