As I type my first message as the new President of the Electrical Welfare Club it is not lost on my mind where we stand in history during this horrible pandemic. Far too many of us have suffered personally or knew those that have, including 55 members of Local Union No. 3.  My heart goes out to their families.  Help is here. Vaccinations are available. Please read the newsletter with important information on vaccinations.  Continue to stay safe and follow all recommended protocols to protect yourself and others around you.

I want to thank our Business Manager Christopher Erikson for being part of our special meeting and for administering the oath of office to all our new Officers and Board of Directors. I also want to thank everyone who joined our meeting as well, including Assistant Business Manager Joe Santigate. Business Representatives, Sister Club Presidents and of course our Club members.

One of my goals as your President is to try to grow our membership. Now we have an opportunity to use our Zoom meeting as an informal way to introduce our club to other members of Local 3 who are also of the Jewish faith.  So, I am asking everyone who may know another Jewish member who is not already part of the club to join our meeting from the comfort of their own home.  It is free and informative.  If you have someone in mind, please let me know prior to our meeting so that we can provide access to the meeting and we can properly welcome them.  Another thing we can do is reach out to members we have not seen in a while.  If you know someone who is a member of our Club, but you have not seen them on our meetings please give them a call and remind them.  We would like to see them and say hello. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting, March 16th, on Zoom

All the Officers and Board of Directors want to wish everyone a very Happy Passover

(Chag Pesach Sameach). Hopefully, next year, we will once again be together at our annual Passover Seder.

Stay active; support our club and its great parent organization Local Union No.3 IBEW

Fraternally yours,

Marc Deutscher
