Greeting Sisters and Brothers,                                                                

The next regular General Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on
Tuesday January 18^th, 2022, at 7 PM on Zoom.  Our Club Coordinator, Former Assistant Business Manager, Elliot Hecht will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions
will be welcomed.

To wish someone a Happy New Year, what does that mean to you? To us and our Club it should mean, it is a new year to make our Club stronger and make our Union stronger too. These are just words of course without actions and only you can act on this. So as President of our Club, as we
begin our 99^th year of fraternalism, I am asking you to help us continue the fellowship with your involvement.  It starts with joining us this month at our meeting on Zoom. Whether you join us using a computer or your phone, it is always great to see and hear each other. And it is a great
way just to check in and say hello to your friends. Staying connected always helps keep us strong.

This year is a contract year, and the Wage and Policy Committee is meeting and discussing the needs and wants for the upcoming contract negotiations. The new Negotiating Committee will be selected this month and the meetings with the Contractors will begin soon.  If you have any ideas
that you would like to see in the contract, whether you are an active member or a pensioner, please send your letters in.  You can submit them to: Local Union No. 3 IBEW ‘A’ Contract Negotiating Committee, 158-11 Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Ave., Flushing, NY 11365
