The next regular General Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday February 15^th, 2022, at 7 PM on Zoom.  Our Club Coordinator, Former Assistant Business Manager, Elliot Hecht will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions will be welcomed.

On February 7^th, Local Union No. 3 IBEW celebrated its 122^nd anniversary being part of the IBEW. At that time, there were only 1,700 members. Over the years, the Union grew to over 35,000 members.  There were many challenges and much sacrifice but overall, what we had and continue to have has been great leadership and solidarity within the Rank in File. Much of the strength and success of our Union stems from one man, Harry Van Arsdale Jr.  His guidance and vision put Local Union No. 3 IBEW center stage in all issues of the day including labor, social, civic, and political. He not only talked the talk but walked the walk and did so hand in hand with great leaders of the day such as Martin Luther King Jr. and many others. On February 16^th, the day that Harry passed away in 1986, let us all take a moment to honor Harry. Let us all continue to talk the talk of how great being part of a Union is, and may we continue to walk the walk hand in hand with all our Brothers and Sisters of the IBEW as we strive to make a better future for generations to come.

The Wage and Policy Committee is meeting and discussing the needs and wants for the upcoming contract negotiations.
