Greeting Sisters and Brothers,                                                               

The next regular General Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday June 21st, 2022, in the Balcony Lounge at 5 PM. Food and beverages will be served at that time.

You must enter through the main entrance of the Electric Industry Center at 158-11 Harry Van Arsdale Jr.

Ave.  You will be asked to show your proof of vaccination information and your photo ID.

Our guest speaker will be the Director of the Educational and Cultural Trust Fund of the Joint Industry

Board of the Electrical Industry, Michael Yee. Michael always gives an informative report, and I am looking forward to it. Our Club Coordinator, Local Union No. 3 IBEW Executive Board Member, David Hochman will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions will be welcomed.

The New York State Primary for Governor will be on Tuesday June 28th, 2022.  The polls are open from 6 AM – 9 PM.  Early voting begins on June 18th and finishes on June 26th.  Local Union No. 3 IBEW has endorsed Congressman Tom Suozzi for the Democratic nomination for Governor of New York. We as a Club have been asked to show up and support his candidacy.  Please help the Suozzi campaign, do your part and find time to volunteer.  I personally thank everyone that has stepped up already.

The NYC Central Labor Council’s Labor Day Parade will be held Saturday September 10th, 2022. Please put this date on your calendar and please show up.  Meeting time and location will be sent out during the summer.

Club Dues are due.  As you know we need your Dues to support all the EWC yearly activities. Regular member Dues are $40. Cemetery Members are $18 per person in a separate check made out to EWC Cemetery Fund.

If you have made any changes to your home address, home phone number, cell phone number and or your email address please let us know.  It is so important to let us know of these changes. You can contact Corresponding Secretary Michelle Sirotic at mlsirotic1019@gmail.com or mail her your changes.

Please make sure that you are signed up for the Local 3 Rank and File Newsletter. Our Business Manager gives an excellent and informative message every month.
