June 2026
Greetings Sisters and Brothers,
The next meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will take place on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, in the Balcony Lounge of the JIB at 6:00 PM. Dinner will be served at 5:00 and we will be having barbecue, with hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken with all the fixings. So please come down and enjoy our last meeting before the summer.
Club coordinator Dave Hochman will be providing details and new developments within our industry. Questions will be welcomed.
We have a couple of club events this summer. First being our annual weekend at Santorini (LIEC) on June 26th. This is a great weekend for members and their families to relax, enjoy themselves and have a great time, as well as get to meet and bond with other clubs. This year we will be with the Veteran’s Club. If you didn’t sign up this year to come, please make sure you do next year, as it’s first come, first serve and it’s a great time for you and your family.
Our other event will be our annual club fishing trip, on Sunday August 9th at 8:00am on the Bay Princess out of Captree State Park, LI. See attached flyer for more information. Come and support the club and have a fun day with your family on the water catching fish. Looking forward to seeing everybody there.
This upcoming meeting will be the last day for us to accept applications for our annual Scholarship. You must be a member in good standing for the last 2 years prior to February 19th, 2026. Children must be graduating High School by June 30th, 2026, and be matriculating at any four-year accredited college or university in the fall 2026 semester. Applications must be delivered in person.
I would like to wish all the fathers in the Electrical Welfare Club a very happy Father’s Day, and I hope to see everyone at the June 16th meeting.
