President’s Message March 2025

March 2025

Greeting Sisters and Brothers,                                                                                             

This month on March 13^th, will begin the Jewish Festival of Purim that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman as it is recounted in the book of Esther. 

The next regular Electrical Welfare Club meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 18^th, 2025, in the balcony lounge of the JIB auditorium at 5:00 PM. Hot food and beverages will be served at that time. Our club coordinator, Local 3 IBEW Executive Board Member, Dave Hochman will provide details on new developments within our industry. 

I would like to thank Executive Board member Patrick Moquin for coming to our last meeting to discuss what is going on with the contract negotiations and for giving us the unemployment numbers. 

The Electrical Welfare Club’s annual Seder will be held on Wednesday April 2^nd at 6:00PM at the Plainview Jewish Center (See Flyer for details). Please make every effort to attend. It is more important than ever in these terrible times for Jewish people to gather and support one another.  The cost is $54 per adult, $18 per child.  Please see Brother James Goldstein who is our event Chairman.  

Our annual weekend at the Long Island Educational Center in   will be held May 2^nd. Please sign up at the next meeting or email me at MDsporty@MSN.com.
