Greeting Sisters and Brothers,
I want to start by thanking everyone who attended our February meeting. A special thanks to Business Representative Richard Duva who gave a great report on the upcoming potential work opportunities with the Wind Turbine projects that have been proposed in the Tri-State area. It was great to see each other in person and I certainly hope that once again this is the norm for all our General Membership meetings in the future.
Due to Passover falling out on our regular meeting date, there will not be an April General Membership meeting. I want to wish everyone a very Happy Passover and I ask that you keep the people of Ukraine in your thoughts.
The EWC Weekend out at the LIECC (Santorini) is Friday May 20 – Sunday May 22. We have the opportunity to go out as a club for the weekend and enjoy the beautiful grounds and scenery at the LIECC, not to mention the incredible sunsets, that are absolutely breathtaking. This year’s Critical Thinking Seminar will be on the History of Local Union No. 3 IBEW. It should be very interesting. We have a limited number of rooms so if you are interested in attending, please let me know ASAP.
The ‘A’ Contract Ratification Meeting will be held on Thursday April 14th, 2022, in the EIC Auditorium at 5 PM.
Local Union No. 3 IBEW has endorsed Congressman Tom Suozzi for the Democratic nomination for Governor of New York. We as a Club have been asked to show up and support his candidacy. Please step up and do your part. The Democratic Primary in New York is on Tuesday June 28, 2022, with early voting starting on June 18, 2022. I want to thank those who stepped up and attended the Campaign Events for Tom Suozzi.
Club Dues are due. As you know we need your Dues to support all the EWC yearly activities. Regular member Dues are $40. Cemetery Members are $18 per person in a separate check made out to EWC Cemetery Fund.

Please make sure that you are signed up for the Local 3 Rank and File Newsletter. It is so important to stay informed and get the right information from the right sources. Our Business Manager gives an excellent and informative message every month.
