March 2022
Greeting Sisters and Brothers,
The next regular General
Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held
In-Person on Tuesday March 15th,
2022, in the Balcony Lounge at 5 PM. Food and beverages
will be served at that time. You must
enter through the main entrance of the Electric Industry Center at 158-11 Harry
Van Arsdale Jr. Ave. You will need to
show proof of vaccination/photo ID.
Business Representative Richard Duva will be
our guest speaker. Our Club Coordinator, Former
Assistant Business Manager, Elliot Hecht will provide details of new
developments within the
industry. Questions will be welcomed.
Turning the page and moving forward is my
focus and it is the focus of our Club as we once again
return to meeting In-Person. I look
forward to seeing everyone and together we will discuss the
many things that make our Club special and an important part of our Union and
its history.
On behalf of all the Officers and Board of
Directors, I want to share our support for the people of
the Ukraine and may peace find a way to end this horrible conflict.
Club Dues are due. As you know we need your Dues to support all
the EWC yearly activities. If
you have not yet mailed your Dues, please do so or bring a check to the
upcoming meeting.
Regular member Dues are $40. Cemetery Members are $18 per person in a separate
check
made out to EWC Cemetery Fund.
Applications are available to
apply for our two college scholarships that will be awarded at the
EWC Annual Scholarship Breakfast in October. The Joseph Jacobson Memorial
Scholarship is for
a four-year school and the Irving Reicher Memorial
Scholarship is for a two or a four-year school.
