Greeting Sisters and Brothers,

The next regular General Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday, February 21^st, 2023, in the Balcony Lounge at 5 PM. Food and beverages will be served at that time. The meeting will begin at 5:45 PM

You must enter through the main entrance of the Electric Industry Center at 158-11 Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Ave.  

Our guest speaker will be Louie Alvarez, Vice President of Local Union No. 3 IBEW. He will share with us all the many different responsibilities he has had throughout his career leading to his current position as Vice President as well as his experiences traveling around the world helping others in need. Please try to join us to hear Louie’s story.  Our Club Coordinator, David Hochman, Local Union No. 3 IBEW Executive Board Member, will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions will be welcomed.

The date has been set and plans are underway for the Electrical Welfare Club’s 100^th Anniversary Gala to be held on Sunday May 21, 2023, at 4 PM at the Plainview Jewish Center. Tickets for our Gala are $125 per person and may be purchased at our meeting on Tuesday, February 21^st or by contacting Gala Co-Chairperson Bro. Matthew Cohen.  See flyer for more information.

Please mark your calendar, Saturday, May 13^th, 2023, Local Union No. 3 IBEW will be holding the Election of Officers, Executive Board Members, and Examining Board Members at the Javits Convention Center. The Election will be held from 6 AM until 4 PM.  There will be buses provided for your convenience in three locations, Penn Station, Joint Industry Board / Electchester, and Westchester.  It is so important that you make yourself available that date to show up and Vote.
