The next regular General Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, in the Balcony Lounge at 5 PM. Food and beverages will be served at that time. The meeting will begin at 5:45 PM

You must enter through the Electric Industry Center main entrance: 158-11 Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Ave. 

Our Club Coordinator, David Hochman, Local Union No. 3 IBEW Executive Board Member, will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions will be welcomed.

Our March meeting is a very special meeting as we will be celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the first meeting as a Local 3 Club. We have come a long way from that time in Harlem when a group of Jewish members of the Union met at 8:30 PM and chose to form a social club to help support one another. Those men, who saw the importance of such a club in the beginning days, laid the groundwork for our Club today but also for all the affiliated Clubs of our Union. The Electrical Welfare Club has been a shining example of the very best of what Local 3 has to offer. We are dedicated to the cause of strong Unionism and have always produced great leaders from within our rank-and-file members. Reaching this milestone has not been easy. It takes a strong commitment from our membership and as I type this as your President, I am honored to serve our Club at this moment in our history and I am very thankful for each and every one of you and the support you have given me and our Club. Mazel Tov to our Club!!! Happy 100 years and Here’s to the Next Centennial.

The Electrical Welfare Club’s 100th Anniversary Gala to be held on Sunday May 21, 2023, at 4 PM at the Plainview Jewish Center. Tickets for our Gala are $125 per person and may be purchased at our meeting on Tuesday, March 21st or by contacting Gala Co-Chairperson Bro. Matthew Cohen.  See flyer for info.

Please mark your calendar, on Thursday, April 13th, 2023, there will be the Nominations of Local Union No. 3 IBEW Officers, Executive Board Members, and Examining Board Members during the General Membership Meeting and on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, Local Union No. 3 IBEW will be holding the Election of Officers, Executive Board Members, and Examining Board Members at the Javits Convention Center. The Election will be held from 6 AM until 4 PM.  There will be buses provided for your convenience in three locations, Penn Station, Joint Industry Board / Electchester, and Westchester.  It is so important that you make yourself available that date to show up and Vote. 

Please try your best to come to our special meeting on Tuesday, March 21st.  I look forward to seeing everyone there. Stay active; support our Club and its great parent organization Local Union No.3 IBEW
