Greeting Sisters and Brothers,

The next regular General Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, in the Balcony Lounge at 5 PM. Food and beverages will be served at that time. The meeting will begin at 5:45 PM

You must enter through the main entrance of the Electric Industry Center at 158-11 Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Ave.  You might still need to have a mask to enter the main building and walk through.

Our guest speaker will be Erica Vinas, Nutritionist and Diabetes Educator who works at the JIB Medical Department. Erica will make a presentation about making simple changes in our lives towards a healthier lifestyle and a better self for 2023. So please try to join us.  Our Club Coordinator, Local Union No. 3 IBEW Executive Board Member, David Hochman will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions will be welcomed.

I want to wish you and your family a Very Happy & Healthy New Year once again.  As you know, this is going to be a very special year for our Club. We will be celebrating our 100th Anniversary as an Affiliated Club of Local Union No. 3 IBEW and we have big plans for the year ahead including a Gala in the Spring to commemorate our 100th Anniversary. 

I want to thank everyone who attended our Hanukkah Party especially our event Chairperson Joe Jaffe and Co-Chair Stephanie Tsourlakis and all who volunteered to help make our party a success and a lot of fun for our families. 

The Electchester Street Fair Committee is looking for volunteers Saturday, January 14th, 2023, to help take down the Holiday Decorations in Electchester. They will be meeting in the First Housing Courtyard, 161st Street & Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Ave starting from 6 AM. All those that can help is greatly appreciated.

Please mark your calendar, Saturday, May 13th, 2023, Local Union No. 3 IBEW will be holding the Election of Officers, Executive Board Members, and Examining Board Members at the Javits Convention Center. The Election will be held from 6 AM until 4 PM.  There will be buses provided for your convenience in three locations, Penn Station, Joint Industry Board / Electchester, and Westchester.  It is so important that you make yourself available that date to Vote. 

I look forward to seeing everyone at our meeting, Tuesday, January 1`7th.
