President’s Message October 2024

Greeting Sisters and Brothers,                                                                                          October 2024

The next regular General Membership Meeting of the Electrical Welfare Club will be held on Tuesday October 15th, 2024, in the Balcony Lounge at 5 PM. Food and beverages will be served at that time.

Our Club Coordinator, David Hochman, Local Union No. 3 IBEW Executive Board Member, will provide details of new developments within the industry. Questions will be welcomed.

You must enter through the main entrance of the Electric Industry Center at 158-11 Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Ave.

I want to wish everyone L’shana Tovah, a very Sweet and Happy New Year. May 5785 be a year of good health and bring all of us and the world greater peace. That of course is hard to type when Israel is at war and hostages are still being held in captivity for over one year now. May we pray for those who have been killed and injured.

I want to wish everyone an easy fast on Yom Kippur.

For our Club, October is the most important month and we really need all of you to make yourself available to show up and help and support our Club.

The Electrical Welfare Club’s 60th Annual Award & Scholarship Breakfast will be held on Sunday, October 27th, 2024, at 9:30 AM in the

Electric Industry Auditorium.

We are counting on you to show up to our Breakfast and support our Club.

Every Dues Paying member of our Club is entitled to Two Tickets to Attend our Breakfast.  Please try to use both tickets and invite someone to join you.

PLEASE RSVP by email at  ewclu3@gmail.com or call

Vice President Gary Marks at 917-731-8065

It is our 101st Anniversary and it is so very important to show all the elected officials and Dais guests that will be joining us that morning as well as our fellow Brothers and Sisters that the Jewish members of Local 3 are a strong, vibrant, and proud part of our industry.

Please Support our Club Raffle Tickets. Each ticket is $10, and you have 30 chances to win $100.  The 30 days of drawings start on November 1st.  All the money raised goes directly to fund the Club events.  Raffle tickets will be available to purchase in person at the Union meeting on Thursday October 10th, our Club meeting on Tuesday October 15th, or at our Breakfast Sunday October 27th.  Thank you for supporting our Club.  Return all sold and Unsold Raffle Tickets to us at our Club meeting.
